The story behind your 2nd brain
How a personal frustration with information overload led to building a tool that transforms how we learn from video content.

Why I built BrainTube
A personal story from the founder
I didn't have a YouTube problem. I had a potential problem.
YouTube is where I go to learn — business, psychology, health, AI. The stuff that actually upgrades your life. But my brain doesn't consume content like a normal person. I'll click one video with a clear intention, and two hours later I'm five tabs deep in a niche rabbit hole.
My Watch Later wasn't a list anymore. It was a graveyard. Hundreds of videos. And the worst part wasn't procrastination — it was knowing the knowledge could move my life forward, trapped inside hours of content I couldn't access when I needed it.
And that's when it clicked:
My problem wasn't attention. It was information overload — too much to absorb, too little time to process, and chaos because nothing had a place to land.
Playlists are just neat piles of "later."
They don't give you back the moment that mattered. They don't turn a 2-hour podcast into something usable. They don't help you find that one sentence that hit you like a brick.
So I built BrainTube.
Not another productivity toy. Not another "AI summary" you forget five minutes later. BrainTube is what I wish existed when my curiosity kept turning into chaos.
- Search your content like a memory
- Highlight what matters
- Save timestamped moments into a Vault
- Build a personal library you can return to anytime
BrainTube is the system I built for myself — so my best insights don't disappear into the algorithm.
