Collections 101: Organize Your Knowledge Like a Pro

What Are Collections?

Collections are themed folders for organizing your saved content. Think of them like playlists, but for all types of content — not just videos.

Creating Your First Collection

1. Go to the Collections page
2. Click "New Collection"
3. Give it a name, description, and optionally an emoji and color
4. Start adding items

Example collections you might create:

• 🧠 "Neuroscience" — for all brain-related videos and articles
• 💼 "Startup Ideas" — research and founder interviews
• 🎨 "Design Inspiration" — tutorials, case studies, UI/UX talks
• 📚 "Book Summaries" — video summaries of books you want to read

Adding Items to Collections

There are two ways:

1. From the item: Open any saved video/article, click the collection icon, and select which collection(s) to add it to
2. From the collection: Open the collection and use the "Add" button to search your library

Sharing Collections

Want to share your curated collection with someone?

1. Open the collection
2. Click Share
3. Toggle "Public" to generate a share link
4. Anyone with the link can view the collection (read-only)

This is perfect for:

• Sharing research with classmates
• Sending curated resources to your team
• Building a public knowledge base on a topic

Collection Members

You can also invite collaborators:

• Viewer: Can see all items in the collection
• Editor: Can add/remove items
• Admin: Full control including member management

Pro Tips

• Use consistent emoji + color coding to make collections scannable at a glance
• Create a "To Process" collection for items you've saved but haven't reviewed yet
• Use the collection description to remind yourself what the collection is for
