Importing PDFs and eBooks
BrainTube supports importing documents directly:
- PDF files — research papers, reports, manuals
- eBooks (EPUB format) — books, guides, publications
How to Import
- Click the Add (+) button
- Select Upload File
- Choose your PDF or EPUB file
- BrainTube processes the content
What Happens After Import
BrainTube extracts the text and processes it just like any other content:
- AI Summary: A concise overview of the document
- Key Takeaways: The most important points
- Searchable Text: The full document is now searchable via semantic search
- Concepts: Key terms and definitions are extracted
Example: You upload a 50-page research paper on sleep and memory. BrainTube generates a 3-paragraph summary, 8 key takeaways, and identified concepts like "REM sleep" and "hippocampal replay."
Why This Matters
Your knowledge does not live in just one format. BrainTube puts videos, articles, AND PDFs in one searchable system.
KEY
When you search "memory consolidation" in BrainTube, it finds results from your PDFs, YouTube videos, AND web articles — all in one place.
Real Use Case
An academic researcher:
- Uploads 20 research papers (PDFs)
- Saves 10 related YouTube lectures
- Uses semantic search to find common themes across both
- Highlights key findings in each
- Uses Content Lab to draft a literature review from the highlights
