Common issues with the Chrome Extension and how to fix them.
Having issues with the BrainTube Chrome Extension? Here are solutions to common problems.
Extension Not Showing Up
- Check Chrome's extension management page (chrome://extensions/)
- Make sure BrainTube is enabled (toggle should be on)
- Click "Pin" in the extensions menu to keep it visible
- Try restarting Chrome
Can't Log In
- Make sure you're using the same GitHub account you registered with
- Clear the extension's storage: Right-click icon → Options → Clear Data
- Check your internet connection
- Try disabling other extensions that might interfere
Save Button Not Working
- Refresh the page and try again
- Check if the page has finished loading completely
- Some sites block extensions — try saving via URL paste in BrainTube instead
- Look for error messages in the extension popup
Content Not Appearing in Library
- Processing takes 30-60 seconds — check back shortly
- Verify you're logged into the same account on both the extension and brain-tube.com
- Check your internet connection during the save
