Quick Start: From Zero to Knowledge in 5 Minutes

A rapid onboarding guide to get you productive with BrainTube in just 5 minutes.

Get up and running with BrainTube in under 5 minutes.

Minute 1: Sign Up & Install

  1. Log in at brain-tube.com using your GitHub account
  2. Install the Chrome Extension

Minute 2: Save Your First Content

  1. Go to a YouTube video you recently watched
  2. Click the BrainTube extension icon → Save
  3. Repeat for 2-3 more videos or articles in a similar topic

Minute 3: Explore Your Library

  1. Open your Library — your saved items appear here
  2. Click on any item to see its full transcript, AI summary, and extracted entities
  3. Try the search bar — search for a concept mentioned in your videos

Minute 4: Discover Your Second Brains

  1. Go to My 2nd Brains
  2. Once you have 5+ items in a topic area, BrainTube auto-creates a Second Brain
  3. Click a brain → Chat — ask it questions about your content
  4. Try: "What are the key takeaways from my saved videos about [topic]?"

Minute 5: Connect Your AI Tools

  1. Go to Settings → AI Integrations
  2. Copy your MCP endpoint URL
  3. Add it to Claude Desktop, Cursor, or your preferred AI tool
  4. Now your AI assistant can search your entire knowledge base!
