Saving Web Articles and Pages
How to save web articles, blog posts, and any webpage to your BrainTube corpus.
Save any webpage to your knowledge corpus with one click.
How It Works
- Navigate to any article or webpage
- Click the BrainTube extension icon
- Click "Save to BrainTube"
BrainTube uses smart content extraction to grab the article body, stripping out ads, navigation, and other noise.
What Gets Extracted
- Article text — The main content body
- Title and author — Metadata from the page
- Featured image — The main image, if available
- Publish date — When the article was published
- AI summary — Automatic summary generation
- Key entities — People, concepts, and tools mentioned
Supported Content
The extension works great with:
- Blog posts (Medium, Substack, WordPress, etc.)
- News articles
- Documentation pages
- Research papers (HTML versions)
- Forum posts and discussions
Tips
- For PDFs, save the URL directly — BrainTube handles PDF extraction
- Paywalled content — The extension can save content you have access to in your browser
- Long-form content — There's no length limit; long articles are fully supported
Troubleshooting
- Content looks wrong — Some sites use complex JavaScript rendering that may affect extraction. Try the "Paste URL" method in BrainTube instead.
- Missing images — Article images are referenced by URL; if the original site removes them, they won't display.
