How do I connect BrainTube to Claude or Cursor?

Open /connect in the app to get your MCP URL and API key, then paste it into Claude Desktop's config or Cursor's MCP settings. Your library becomes a tool the AI can call.

Search & Discovery

Semantic Search Timing

Very recent items (saved within the last minute) may not appear in semantic search. Wait 60 seconds for the embedding pipeline to complete. Keyword search works immediately.

Entity Disambiguation

Some entities with common names may be incorrectly merged. Use more specific search terms or check the entity detail page.

Content Processing

Long YouTube Videos

Videos over 3 hours may occasionally timeout. Try saving again — the system retries automatically.

Notion Sync Delays

Changes in Notion may take up to 5 minutes to reflect. This is by design for API rate limit compliance.

UI & Interface

Mobile Layout

Some complex views (Knowledge Graph, Skill Tree) have limited mobile support. Use desktop for graph features.

MCP Connection

Token Expiry

Access tokens expire periodically. Open Settings → AI Integrations to auto-refresh (refreshes every 45 minutes while open).
