What changed at Rescroll
Between 8 and 21 May 2026 the Rescroll homepage went from talking about knowledge to talking about hooks, and thesecondbrain.io now redirects to rescroll.ai. Around 26 September 2026 the $6 Basic plan went away. As of 4 October 2026 the cheapest plan is Pro at $29 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly, and there's no free plan, no export, no MCP server and no API.
SECONDBRAIN6 puts the old $6 back for a year: Starter at $6 a month for 12 months instead of $9, on monthly billing.
How to bring your library
The link-list importer reads a Raindrop, Instapaper or Pocket export, any CSV with a URL column, or a plain list with one URL per line, up to 500 links per import. BrainTube saves, transcribes and indexes each one. Saving is free and unlimited on every plan, and the Free plan includes 200 items through the importers.
Then it's your YouTube library, inside Claude. In Claude.ai you add BrainTube as a custom connector and sign in with OAuth. Claude can search what you saved and save new things into it in the same conversation. In BrainTube's own chat, a video citation shows the timestamp of the moment it came from.
Where Rescroll is still better
I build BrainTube, so weigh this with that in mind. If your output is short-form social content, Rescroll reads TikToks, Reels and Shorts frame by frame and generates carousels. BrainTube does none of that. Plenty of creators could reasonably keep Rescroll for posting and use BrainTube for the library.
